Im using Garena, a lan platform, to play wc3 with people online. when i host a game on lan i can play it all the way but i get fatal error even when i Join anyone's game. Not immediately though, but its like 20 secs after i join a game in LAN using garena, i just get it. Currently ive scanned most forums and tried many things, though things like reinstall wc3 and get better hardware (i have 8gb ram and ATI 5670HD 1 GB dedicated ram for VGA) and delete replays/videos and turn off sound/update drivers all dont work. turning off DEP also doesnt work.All i can think of right now is, i CAN play dota on LAN using garena! but ONLY if im playing alone. Instead of telling me what to do, why not explain whats happening? what does opengl do? and im using a platform to run wc3, called garena. i've typed the samething in the bootstrap parameters "-opengl" and it still doesnt work. Its not my warcraft compatibility issues with windows 7, its not my hgardware thats not good enough. I CAN PLAY WC3 single player OFFLINE, I CAN EVEN PLAY IT ON LAN, but by myslf. I have been getting fatal errors a lot since i just changed my computer one month ago. I'll provide all the details here and see if you guys can make out something.My new computer is pretty decent, 8gb ram, radeon hd5670 graphics card, 6 core processor so im sure it can run warcraft 3. I also have directx 11. I've tried reinstalling warcraft3 and ive updated to 1.24d, ive tried deleting the temporary replays and the movies because some have said that might be the problm.I tried hosting DOTA on LAN and people can join, but shortly after the fatal error occurs, even before starting the game. This fatal error thing can happen anytime from the moment when i join someone else's hosted game, to anytime when im still in the game, sometimes long enough to finish a 20min dota game. but recently it got so bad it rarely lasts 5mins past joining someone else's dota game, so most of the time i get the error shortly after choosing a hero. I tried shutting down all my anti virus and firewalls including window's firewall, and ive tried redownloading the map and everything.Funny thing is, when i host a LAN dota game and play against a computer(easy) the dota game goes smoothly all the way and no error occurs, which is why i believe i've got the problem localised to me playing LAN GAMES with OTHER people on GARENA. Any ideas?
